Ferram Aerospace Research, as above. AJE might work without it, but it's not tested and you will probably not have much fun.It will not function if they are missing or not installed properly.ĪJE does not explicitly depend on Ferram Aerospace Research but has not been tested without it, and you will probably think that your engines are very underpowered in stock aero. If you have an earlier version of KSPĪJE requires these mods to work. Most importantly, include logs.Įach release of AJE is intended to be run with a particular version of KSP. Please only use that version. Incomplete support requests will not be processed. If you are experiencing an issue, please read this topic, if you have not already, on how to get proper support. Avoid TPR loss by facing the inlet to the freestream. Each inlet has a TPR(total recovery pressure) that is dependent on Mach number and angle of attack. Make sure you have enough inlet till you see "Inlet Area:100%" in flight. Each engine requires a minimum inlet area (see right click menu in editor). This is affected by both mach number and throttle Like in real world, not all engines can tolerate the heat from air compression of hypersonic flight. Afterburners, if installed on the engine, is turned on when throttle > 66% and off when throttle <= 66% Real throttle Throttle is linked to fuel consumption instead of thrust. Real-world jet engines AJE uses thermodynamic equations to calculate jet engine performance in flight. AJE calculates performance for air-breathing engines based on real thermodynamics. NathanKell's valiant efforts have made stock performance much more reasonable in recent versions of KSP, but it's still a very long way from realistic. The original thread can be found here.Īdvanced Jet Engine gives jets, propellers, and rotors realistic performance in KSP. It would destroy my entire network since I use RemoteTech specific dishes almost exclusively. This is the new thread. Removing RemoteTech is not an option for me. Is there some sort of issue with multiple dishes and science transmission? That being said, I have gotten it to work from Kerbin orbit using a single Communotron-32 (5Mm omni). I should also note that this has happened from literally 900m from KSC, when I had a contract to Kerbin's Shores for various science related things. I have used this setup probably a dozen times over various save games in the past. In fact, at present, BOTH antennae are connected to the network because I have a SCANSat in polar orbit that is within the omni range. The antennae I am using are: DTS-7 (50Mm 45 degree arc), aimed at my network around Kerbin and a Kommunotronski-16 (2.5Mm omni). When I tell it to transmit, it behaves as if it had sent the data, but without any transmission notifications and no science received. The network is connected (or else the satellite wouldn't be operational at all). I have a current craft trying to transmit Tarsier Space Telescope data back from the Mun. It is almost like each craft has to have only one antenna on it, else you can't transmit. : No Science Subject found with id a similar problem with data transmission to the other people, but in my case no data is being transmitted at all. Before 1.0.5 I played sandbox mode and it worked fine. Link is set up, I see "Transmit 100% complete" but it does not add any of 400+ science that I have in the lab. My lab on Minmus doesn't want to transmit. I have trouble with science transmission in career mode.
